Still sick, and tastes have gone into hibernation. Julia couldn't stand the thought of eating anything but Top Ramen, for some very strange reason, so we ran down to Ralphs. While there I tried to convince her of some kind of compromise, but in the end she only relented to the extent that a can of condensed matzoh ball soup is any better than the ramen! When we got home, I popped a potato in the oven, rubbed with a little olive oil and kosher salt for a nice crusty skin. When it was done I split it open, and covered it with pepper, garlic, steamed and grilled veggies including mushrooms, brocolli, carrots and green beans, and a little sharp cheddar.
Julia ended up having a bowl of "chicken flavor" ramen, and seemed quite thrilled with it. To each his own!

Curry, Quinoa, and Garlic-Peanut Veggies
Sunday night and we're both getting ready for the week, so dinner was fast, simple and totally satisfying. A leftover green curry with tofu was served over a brown rice and quinoa mix, with a pile of garlic-peanut stir fry greens. On the side was a salad of herb greens, alfalfa sprouts, tomato wedges, hard boiled egg, and almond slivers, dressed with a soy-ginger vinaigrette.

Well they can't all be winners! Dinner tonight was a baked potato covered in candied onions, carrot, broc, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and sharp cheddar, with turkey cutlets for me and fake chicken nuggets for Jules. I thought it was yummy - Julia, on the other hand, was concerned the tastes did not mesh and ended up just picking at it. Of course, that left her room for a yogurt, berries and cereal desert! Oh well, I'm still batting over .900 with dinners for Julia!
