Rome

Pictures from Italy - Rome, Florence, Venice in 17 days

Italy pics are finally up! It's taken a lot more time than I hoped, and I've not been without distractions, but I thought I'd post a link to my pictures from Italy since I've already shared the link with some people anyhow. I have a gallery for panoramas from each day in Italy, as well as a gallery of normal photographs for each city.

There are two types of panoramas posted - interactive, which require Quicktime to view, and flat, which require Flash.

Enjoy!

First Post From Roma

Im in Rome.. actually, have been for 2 days now... at a public terminal as I dont have wifi at the flat Im staying at.

Im staying with a lovely host, Antonella, in her flat in the heart of Rome - cant beat it! Im still adjusting to the time change, which means Im running on empty but dont mind - theres just far too much to see.

Had a wonderful evening last night with friends, a homemade dinner outdoors until I was nearly nodding off on the table.

Today I hopped on a tour bus, which gave me an all day pass to get on and off anywhere we stopped, so it was a very convenient way to see Rome without even trying. I got off first at Piazza Venezia and spent most of the day walking around there.. the Colloseum and Palatine, and of course everywhere I looked there was something to draw me in. I also took a late afternoon walk near St. Peters and the Vatican, which I plan to return to tomorrow.

Thats all for now - time for some pizza!

ciao!
